A true icon. Her image is a part of the collective consciousness of the world. Peace.

It's snowing outside my window. Seriously. It's. Fucking. Snowing. I
got soup heating up on the stove, I've done all my washing and today is
a day for being in doors and looking out at the world from curtained
windows while lighting candles.
We're about half way done with the Trolle//Siebenhaar tour and it's
been a real blast. The crew is professional, everybody is playing at
the top of their game and we're having so much fun. It's not the rowdy,
crazy tour life of my younger days, it's more like a controlled young
adult outing with pleasant conversations about semi adult topics. We
have two girls in the band and they bring the debauchery down a notch,
which I'm surprised to find, I actually enjoy..
Mmmmm.. Asparagus soup. With added peas. Perfect for a cold day.
I'm getting in to the "808 Punk Rock" thing heavily now. The tracks are coming together nicely. Kanye West has release a record thats called "808 & Heartbreaks" or something, which kinda sucks but at the same time that means that both records will be right next to each other on ITunes or whatever, and MY shit will blows his crap the fuck out of the water. Hehehe... It's gon' be some crazy pissness. Try visualing The Stooges' "Raw Power" in a current soundscape with crazy hyped up distorted 808 drums. Fucking AGGRO shit, dude..
Okay, I'm off. Check out the latest instalment of my crappy phone pics.

This weekend was another insane one.
My man Pelle Bombholm had hooked me up with a gig on this danish island off the coast of Sweden called Bornholm on friday. It was organized by local youths and they had done a brilliant job. The setting was perfect and though I was meant to go home with the last ferry off the island at 9 o'clock, I ended up staying around 'till the next day.
A bunch of good people from cool bands were there, Toby K from The Lava, Mads and the whole Sterling crew, the Rock Hard Power Spray boys, the hippie camp of The Univerzals, Jackie and Toke from The Breakers. Needless to say, we all got hammered and a good time was had by all.
Here's me going on first, people chilling out and enjoying the vibes.
Got home way too late on Saturday (car, ferry, bus) and I missed my ride to my next destination, the idylic countryside of south-west Zeeland, namely the township of Rude and the marriage of my old acquaintances Fie
Fie is an old friend that I met trough Malle
and Henrik did the kick ass video for "Sweet Dogs".
I had to take the train, feeling slightly messed up from the 3-4 hours of drunken sleep I'd had. Uncle Allan went and picked me up at the train station and we made it just as the first course hit the buffet table. It was a beautiful dinner, lots of speeches and songs and weird traditions, like when the crowd chime their glasses with silverware, thus getting the bride and groom to kiss while standing on chairs, then they crawl under the table and kiss.. I tried to keep a straight face, pleasing myself with the fine dinner and the wine and the table side company. The happy couple was indeed happy and it gave a little tug in the heart of this old cynic to see their obvious affection for each other.. More power to them!
Later on, I DJ'ed for about 4 hours, mostly soul classics and 90'ties dance nightmares. Good fun was had. Malle and Allan was there + Malle's super cool parents Hans & Annelise (they're sorta step parents for me) and we had fun fun fun. The next day, we had breakfast in the sun, outside Malle's parents seaside house. Go check out Malle's (or Flora's or Amalie's..) blog
for more visuals from this highly pleasing little slice o' heaven on terra firma and of the marital bliss we all celebrated.
Sped into town after breakfast with Malle's dad Hans at the wheel, 'cause now came this weekend big finalé.
My buddy Simon Weyhe
(he did the excellent video for "Bad Situation"
) is in the procces of documenting a bunch of people for a project that he's doing about the Copenhagen creative scene called "Can't Stop Entertainment". I'm one of them and hopefully it'll all end up in a book/DVD thing. He's been following me around for about 5-6 months and with the amount of good footy that he's got, we could make a full blown feature flick, called "Pato is having way too much fun in 2008"!
The gig for this fine and sunny sunday afternoon was to have a cook out aboard the fine vessel "Søkoen" and I would do a few tunes around the port of Copenhagen. William and Kjeld were manning the Carbon Diablo grill, Ditte was at the helm, Cars 10 was on cut, Lilli, Slogan, Sluzh and Oliver were there just chilling out and off we went.
We toured the harbor for about two hours, holding up the traffic in Christianshavns Kanal, serenading the tourists in Nyhavn and we ended up underneath Knippelsbro with 20 cases of beer and 6 legs of lamb (being handed out in sandwhich form) that we gave away to the assembled masses who had been waiting for us to arrive. My clearest memory is when we cruised in towards the dock and the people waiting for us with the dubbed out ending of The Specials' "Ghost Town" blasting out from the on board sound system with DJ Cars 10 doing ghostly cuts on the Numark, using his effect board. True magic. Here's some pix that I stole from Cars 10
. Enjoy the trip and have a safe voyage!
Much thanks goes out to Pelle, to Fie & Henrik, to Malle, Allan & the Leonardo clan and last but not least, everybody who was on that raft for those 4-5 hours. What a weekend!
